What’s with the nickname?
I grew up in a small agricultural town in California’s San Joaquin Valley, somewhere between the The Big Valley and American Graffiti. Everybody knew everyone else, more or less. If they didn’t know your name, they at least knew who your parents were.
When I was in high school, I ran around with a group of guys who all posessed very singular personalities. Active in school and the community. We all shared a love for hiking and made many trips into the Yosemite National Park together.
