Flexible Inline Divs vs. Flexible Parent/Child Divs in Freeway 4 Pro

Technically, there is no difference between inline divs and parent/child divs. They are two different ways of working within Freeway 4 Pro. However, there are slight differences in the way Freeway outputs code from both constructs.

In this page, I have quickly assembled an example of both methods, achieving vertical flexibility with both (toggle your text zoom for proof). However, as someone who has given full disclosure about the difficulties of working with inline divs, the difficulties of parent/child divs is much greater.

You can Download (7.83 K) this Freeway 4 Pro file to see what I mean. You must use the menu Item>Extended to alter several aspects of the parent and child divs. It is still impossible to remove a Freeway generated inline style, but you can insert the relevant attributes as empty which the browser should ignore. However -- and I haven't checked this out -- my concern is empty attributes won't pass validation. Ouch!
